Jodi Bova-Mele
(She/her -Choreographer) is delighted to be working with the Baldwinsville Theatre Arts Program, having previously choreographed Little Women, Mary Poppins, Shrek and Cinderella. She has choreographed numerous shows for area high schools and theater companies over the years. Recent theater credits include Damn Yankees, Pippin, Spring Awakening and Cabaret (Choreographer) for Syracuse Summer Theatre at the On Center, Independence (Kess) for Breadcrumbs Productions, A Chorus Line (Lori) for Baldwinsville Theater Guild, and Lizzie Borden Took an Axe (Lizzie) for Covey Theatre Company. Jodi works as an audiologist at HearingLife, and is also the mother of two amazing boys.
Gabriella Giacovelli (She/Her - Choreographer) is a Speech Pathologist at McNamara Elementary and Van Buren Elementary, and Syracuse University graduate. She has been dancing for over 20 years, and received training locally at Syracuse City Ballet as well as at Dance Centre North. Gabriella has previously completed musical theatre training at Syracuse University, as well as in New York City. She has also danced with the Radio City Rockettes. She has been involved in numerous local theater productions both as a performer, and as a creative head. This is her first year choreographing for BTAP, and she is very excited to work with the talented children within the district/community.
Andy Hughes (Theater Manager/Lighting and Sound Design)
Amy Lynch (She/her Scenic Director)
did scenery for the Reynolds Elementary production of the Wizard of OZ and costumes for Once Upon a Mattress at Durgee. She was a scenic helper for Shrek and White Christmas and was then promoted to Scenic Director for Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Lion King and Little Women. She has been doing faux finishes and murals for 10 years and was a member of IDAL (International Decorative Artisans League).
Andrea Calarco
(she/her - Costumer) Upon graduating from Columbia University with a degree in Music, Andrea worked in the NYC theater/music worlds earning membership in Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild. After some time at home raising her children, she turned her efforts to music education/outreach, serving as President of the Board of The Diller-Quaile School of Music (NYC). Since moving to CNY in 2009, Andrea has concentrated on costuming and/or running wardrobe for numerous theaters/groups including Redhouse Arts Center, Front Row Players, Syracuse Children’s Theatre, and Symphoria. In 2020, she received two nominations for SALT costume awards for shows with the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild. In addition, Andrea serves on the Manlius Senior Activity Centre where she focuses on fundraising.
